Chef AJ brings into the kitchen her childhood from Oman, her Filipino and Egyptian roots, and her training in Paris. She likes to create food that is accessible and nostalgic. She likes to talk about the history of the dishes she's prepared and encourages people to ask WHY when following recipes - hopefully you will leave this class with a better understanding of Mediterranean food, its history, and better skills to confidently host parties at home! She has recently opened an Egyptian street food stall in Press Hall called Basbousa. Check her out on insta @Basbousa_nz
