Do you know your julienne from your chiffonade? In this class Executive Chef MacLean Fraser from Artisan at the Bolton Hotel will teach you to chop with the confidence and precision of a pro. Bring your knives from home and our chef will show you how to sharpen them with a stone (bring yours along if you have one; otherwise we'll be taking turns) and show you how to take care of them. We will also cover knife selection and give advice on the best places to pick up good quality knives that will last you a lifetime.
The Chef will begin by showing you how to butcher a chicken like a pro, then move on to demonstrate various knife chopping techniques. Using your new-found skills you will prep and cook a delicious meal and enjoy it with the Chef. The menu includes a delicious chicken Caesar salad and a roast kumara, feta and vegetable dish, and complimentary non-alcoholic drinks.
