ABOUT Angela: AJ brings into the kitchen her childhood in Oman, her Filipino and Egyptian roots, and her training in Paris. Her food comes from the heart. She likes to create food that is accessible and nostalgic and hopes to encourage people to eat more vegetables and use more spice. She encourages people to ask WHY when following recipes - hopefully, you will leave this class with a better understanding of Egyptian food, its history, and the science behind the very specific steps we take when making dishes. She has recently opened an Egyptian street food stall in Press Hall called Basbousa. Check her out on insta @Basbousa_nz
