Join the multi-award winning and talented pastry chef Shuchi Bhardwaj, former head baker at Little Bird Organics in Auckland, head chef of Neo cafe and winner two years running for Wellington on a Plate's Dine Wellington, for this all-new macarons masterclass class.
In today's workshop, Shuchi will teach you the secrets behind making the perfect, delicious, chewy and airy macarons. You will spend the afternoon under Shuchi’s expert guidance completing each of the detailed steps and will make up to 20 macarons each over the 3 hour experience. At the end of the workshop, we'll give you a box to take home your macarons and share with your family and loved ones.
In this workshop, you will learn how to master the stages of the macaron making process including:
- French and Italian meringue production
- Macaron colour application
- A variety of fillings
- Piping techniques
Shuchi is a Cordon Bleu-trained chef and has an impressive CV including over a year as head baker at Little Bird Organics in Auckland (the celebrated plant-based, sustainable and delicious vegan bakery!) where she made organic, vegan, gluten free and sugar free sweet treats (donuts, snickers, lemon meringue pie...), Foxgloves and Antheia’s Loft.
