Do you know how to fillet a fish? Do you know your julienne from your chiffonade? In this class Chef Evan, culinary lecturer at Le Cordon Bleu, will teach you to fillet a whole fish. Each participant will be given a fish to fillet and taught the knife skills necessary to descale and fillet a fish. You'll also learn how to chop vegetables with the confidence and precision of a pro.
Evan will also demo how to sharpen and care for your knives. Feel free to bring along your own chef's knife & filleting knife so you can practice like you would at home!
What to expect on the day:
Just like in culinary school, you will begin by learning different chopping techniques with raw vegetables. Then, Chef Evan will move on to demonstrate how to best cut and prepare a whole fish. Using your new-found skills you will prep and cook a delicious meal and enjoy it with the Chef. The menu is TBC but will include fish and plenty of beautifully chopped vegetables! Complimentary non-alcoholic drinks.
